The Ayur Villa

Very comfortable and friendly. The staff are very attentive and the food - we only had breakfast is very good.

It is a little walk (up a steep hill) from the beach but the location is very peaceful and you can see the lighthouse.

It was very clean, breakfast was ok, not great, but no choice in what you had. Other meals were available by special request-I think they were actually takeout from other restaurants. The room itself was large and comfortable, but nowhere to sit except the bed. The shower was excellent. Wifi was good and a/c was good. We had no sea views, contrary to what was advertised.

No chairs in the room, no TV, no amenities, no outside area to sit in. Very bare bones. It was good for sleeping but not for spending any time in the room. It says Ayurvedic, but there was no sign of this. No yoga, no massages. The walk to the beach was down (and up) a very steep hill-it was not as described. The swimming pool was tiny, tucked in a corner on the side of the house, not big enough to swim in. There was no garden or pleasant outside area. They did not clean the room at all and later told us it was only on demand.

The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful and the rooms were spacious. Vish was so friendly and helpful - really went out of his way for us. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Good quality internet and AC.

The distance to the beach is a bit further than booking.com suggests, and it is up a massive hill. Getting down to the beach is fine, but walking back up is no joke in the heat. I just about managed it and I am a (relatively) fit 30 year old - although was at risk of a cardiac arrest! Anyone not in good health would find it very difficult. As the hotel does not have any bar/snacks/lunch facilities, this is quite annoying as you can't 'pop back' from the beach. It is worth noting that toilet facilities in the restaurants on the beach are not good, so the distance back to the hotel feels more annoying than it could have been. Rooms aren't cleaned every day. In a 4 night stay, the bed was made once and we didn't get new towels. I am sure had we asked Vish he would have made it happen, but for the price we paid this was annoying. The pool is tiny and looks a bit grubby. Only 2 sunbeds and really not enough room to hang by the pool. More of a plunge situation. Overall, this is a true 3 star hotel. Vish was amazing, and the hotel was nice, but I do think it is overpriced for what is on offer.

The staff was super friendly and the massage service was just excellent.

It's a beautiful place with super staff ( Vishnu) . They were very thoughtful for guests need and arranged everything before our arrival ( kept the air conditioning on before arrival). They serve fresh home cooked breakfast with fresh fruits and juices. Very homely quiet place. Highly recommend!!

Mosquitoes but with nature in the surroundings, it's ok .

Vishnu couldn’t have been more helpful. He made arrangements for me without issue and was always happy to help. Breakfasts are huge and something different everyday. I had a lovely treatment during my stay. Very nice place to stay.

The hill back to the hotel from the beach is steep but after a few days you get used to it.

Everything about this place was great. The breakfasts were the best food in 3 weeks traveling India. If only they served dinner. The pool was always a refreshing end to the day. Vishnu and the cooks always had a smile, ready to help in any way. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. 10 minute walk to Lighthouse Beach.

Nothing not to like.

They served Traditional Kerala breakfast dishes including Pottu, Aloo Sabzi, Sambhar, Idli, and Appam. Daily tea and coffee with Fresh cut fruits were added more options. A clean and running kitchen with options to cook our own food was also available. Since we had kids with us, it was easy to prepare kid-specific meals.

The place was good and maintained with care. No suggestions to change anything

Very large comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Very friendly service. It felt calm and peaceful.

10 minutes walk from the beach up/down a very steep hill. However, it felt like an incredible retreat and was nice to escape the busier beach front.

This villa has been beautifully designed, with a traditional look and Western standard services and facilities. The rooms are incredibly spacious, very clean as is the bathroom. The key is the staff: the reception, chef, driver and the owners who manages all aspects of the client experience. You will love.
