Booked this to be close to the airport for our last night and couldn’t believe the location! Machico is such a beautiful town with an amazing sandy beachfront and marina and our balconies were waterfront viewing the entire thing. No building in front of us! Right downtown to walk to restaurants and beach. Hotel restaurant was delicious too!

I didn’t realize the rooms didn’t have air conditioning so slept with the sliding door open and it was ok. Also it is under a lot of construction on the floors above us with scaffolding and plastic - but we were there for Sunday so no work going on.
