The host Giusi is very friendly and always offers her help. She really makes sure everything is okey and asks if you need something. We could enter the facility prior to the check in time because our flight was early. The house is beautifully decorated and always smells nice. Our room was clean and very lovely decorated, we had the jacuzzi which was always a blessing after a long day. The terrace is nice for spending the evenings. The host showed great hospitality and told us about everything we could do in the city, and even gave us some coupons for local bars. She tries her best to speak English through a translator app, which worked totally fine for us. Also she organized a very nice driver for us, to get to the airport in the middle of the night. All in all we felt very safe and welcomed by castle di Amato!

Not Guisis fault, but the breakfast lady doesn’t speak English and doesn’t tries to, so if you really want to make sure that you’ll get what you want, you need to translate it into Italian. Also not Guisis fault, but the traffic in Catania is kind of scary, often there are no sidewalks especially on the way to the beach. Also there is lots of rubbish lying around.

The place in just perfect - like an oasis within Catania. it is very safe, has great security, a big backyard and an amazing terrace. The room was spotless and modern. Above all, I have to say a big thanks to the greatest host ever, Giusi. She was always ready to help, give advice and answer any questions. I would definitely recommend you stay at this place when in Catania. If we come back, I we will no doubt book this room.

kindness and cleanliness

Host is supremely helpful and the accommodation is spotless and comfortable. Breakfast is provided at a local bar, you have to try the almond granita with brioche. Location is magic absolutely excellent. It's a minute walk away from Castello Ursino a 13th Century castle which played a key role in Sicilian history and open to visitors. The castle is surrounded by piazzas with bars, cafes and restaurant and an hub of social life in the evenings. Within easy walking distance of Piazza del Duomo another hub of social life surrounded by majestic Baroque buildings and the Catania street markets.

The room was very comfy, well equipped, big comfortable bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, kettle, hair dryer. The room very clean with access to charming rooftop terrace. Very well located - close to the city center, close to the bus that will take you from/to the airport. At the same time the apartment is located in a small street, so there is no noise of the cars and scooters at night. The place is nicely decorated and kept very clean, there is flowers in front of the gate which is not a common view on the street. You can tell the owner put a lot of heart to make this place as great as it is. The host - Giussi is an amazing person always willing to help and trying her best to make your stay as good as possible. We really enjoyed the time in Sicily and would gladly come back to the island and to Giussi’s place.
