Tientong Guesthouse

Nice central place to stay - able to access downtown markets, beach, and southern markets easily from here. It is set back a couple blocks from the main road, but this is easy to access. Owner was friendly and helpful.

It did not cause me issues, but just beyond the back of the property is the train line and there can be noise from that. Given the location, cell coverage was not the greatest and WiFi coverage was off and on.

Great location for my needs. The staff team were excellent and it had facilities to share: microwave, toaster, bottled water, crockery. In the room, great WiFi, flat screen TV (used my firestick) and a decent sized fridge freezer. I was there for nearly a month, so this was great. WhatsApp number for any queries or needs.

Personally, I liked everything. Although this is on a quiet street, a busy road and train lines are across a stretch of spare ground. Therefore, you will get ongoing traffic noise. I live in a city and it didn't bother me at all. If this is a deal breaker for you don't book. If you don't mind it, like me, then you'll have nothing to complain about.

Som is an amazing hostess! So helpful. The room was spotless and serviced throughout my stay. There are stairs up to the kitchen area which has an electric jug and microwave. Your fridge is in your room. There are also plates, cups etcetera and filtered water in the big blue bottles. There is a Food Court across the road and down the way, which plays excessively loud music from about 9-11pm.This is nothing to do with Tientong Guesthouse so if you are noise sensitive, take ear plugs. The location is brilliant! Turning right onto the main street, you are 5 minutes walk from Tientong GH to a 7-11, another minute to Tops supermarket and 9 more minutes walk to Market Village. Market Village has an amazing Street Food section down below it and the best Thai Massage for 1hr @ 250b. Or take a motorbike there for 40b on your left, or a taxi on your right. Turning left onto the main street, there is another Villa Market supermarket, and keep walking for about another 15 minutes and you'll reach the Morning market and the Patio and Night markets. I found a wonderful hairdresser directly opposite Yellow Bank. Only 300b for shampoo, conditioner, style cut from long to very short bob, and blow-dry! Lots of places to eat, too! Oh and The Chocolate Factory is nearby too! I can't recommend Tientong and Som, highly enough!

Noisy food court music, but it's bearable as it stops at 11pm.

Not organized at all. No reception no bar. Felt very lonely

Som is doing a great job as a owner/operator of this facility.
