Balmoral Skye

Beautiful location, and accommodation was lovely. Very clean, had our own bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor, the family living downstairs. Another accommodation room opposite us upstairs was much bigger with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom. Cereal, yoghurt,milk, croissants, tea and coffee were supplied each morning. Beautiful view from our room, and lounge chairs to watch TV and a small table for breakfast.

It was a fair way out of the town, so you really needed a car to do anything, which we had. Also, stairs carrying heavy bags, but not much you can do about that. We normally pack a hand luggage bag with whatever we need for the next day to get around the stairs. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there, so didn’t get a chance to wander the grounds and explore the area.

View amazing, very clean

Janice welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. The room is actually 2 rooms and a bathroom, very clean and comfortable with an awesome view of the water. The property was beautiful. Even though the room was booked as self-catering Janice provided coffee, tea, yogurt, cereal, snacks, pretty much anything we needed for the two day. She even provided fresh bakery items and cheese. We really wanted to just move in and stay forever!

We are not used to the single track roads on Skye so driving to and from the guest house was a bit challenging for us. Because of this we didn’t stay for dinner in Portree either night because we were a bit scared of driving in the dark. It was just as well, though, because Portree was always packed with tourists and it was nearly impossible to get into a restaurant anyway. Janice made us so comfortable, though, that we were happy to settle in before dark and just enjoy the overly room and view.

It was easy to find the house following the host's directions. The host was nice and friendly! The view was amazing from our room! The room was clean, organized, and spacious. The is quiet and relaxing.

Unfortunately, the weather was too hot and we couldn't enjoy the chilly night. We asked the host for a fan, but they didn't have one because they usually don't need it. He suggested opening the window to get some fresh air, but we started getting insects instead, lol. But it was a great place to stay.

Amazing views and a comfy room

Location and hospitality were excellent for a peaceful break. Need a car as out of town however beautiful location.

Nothing as it met our expectations.

A hot breakfast was not served, but they had so many options available there that were very good and easily satisfied us. The location was outstanding ,and the views were spectacular.

The location was awesome. It was very comfortable and peaceful.
