Residencia Coimbra

The host Maria was super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is excellent. We couldn't hear noise from outside...just everything inside.

The room had a very unpleasant musty smell that didn't go away with the window open. The beds are old and you can feel the mattress springs. The washroom is a mess -rottig shelf, missing ceiling boards. We could hear every time someone else used the water and not just a bit...a full gushing sound. Everything in the room could use an update. I don't know how this place scored an 8 in Booking's reviews. I've never scored a place so low but this place was the worst I've stayed in in Europe and I've travelled a lot.

The location and the staff. I received the warmest welcome by Maria and she was incredibly helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

The room needs maintenance. There is a serious damp Issue on large sections of the wall and the bathroom needs some upgrading too.

Room on 3rd floor above ground floor/front eesk. Troublesome at times qith the luggage. Luckily the staff were helpful enough.

Clean and well designed.

Not much but it was clean.

The front of the hotel was impressive but the room was poor. I think we were ripped off in paying 2 euros tourist tax. We paid it cash but it should have been included in the price. The area was poor and we felt threatened.
