Hidden Lake Cottages Sigiriya

Treated incredibly well by our hosts - they went above and beyond for us. Incredible food (breakfast and sometimes packed lunch), did a shuttle service around the area, pick up and drop off transport from negombo and Wilpattu, took us on a fantastic day tour (yay for seeing elephants!) and the stay was comfortable and perfect for what we were after. Room is big, lots of space, bed comfortable and pool is a treat. Incredible value and would come again and suggest to family and friends.

Location is a bit further out from main streets so not easy to walk to restaurants but host does shuttle service so very easy to go back and forth. We had a couple power cuts for short periods (max 10min) but that was for the area.

We loved our stay here! The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was amazing. The best part were the owners, they are super friendly, organised our safari and even made us a little packed breakfast before we went. The mirror on our rented tuk tuk had fallen off when we arrived and we asked to borrow a screw driver, only to find they had already fixed it for us. Highly recommend!

The host was fabulous, nothing to much trouble, she organised our afternoon safari & a massage at a local spa. She cooked us dinner on our 1st night, I think she thought she was feeding a family not just the 2 of us, the same for breakfast which was delicious. [So much food] the plunge pool was great especially after a long day in the heat. Location was a little out of the way but so peaceful with the sound of the jungle to send you to sleep. Bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend. Value for money cannot fault it.

Nothing negative to say.

The most welcoming and accommodating family! We had EVERYTHING we needed. Tea, coffee facilities, bathroom towels and flip flops! Pool towels and sunbed cushions! Drinks fridge for a small price for extra drinks- fizzy and beers or more water. The owners made us the most amazing breakfast every morning (best pancakes in Sri Lanka) & dinner(so cheaply priced and delicious) we had smoothies during the day too! One of the best stays we had and we didn’t want to leave. Perfect location to visit lion rock, we did this for the morning and came back to hidden cottages to spend our time there, swim in the pool and relax which we did! Thank you for selling your honey to us!! We didn’t venture out to a town or anything we didn’t feel the need but I’m sure the owners would help with this if you wished. Snowy the dog is super cute too! Everything is exactly as expected and the same as online photos. It’s basically two detached villas in their garden, you have your own privacy, big outdoor seating area, your own pool and sunbathing area in each villa

Hard to find the sign outside the property as it’s covered with plants so would be difficult to find in darkness but just give them a call if needed!

Mehish is such a kind man, it truly felt like being with family. The pool was lovely, and you can also enjoy a walk around the nearby lake. Everything was clean and well maintained.

コテージから細やかな連絡をいただけました。また、ホストの方がとても親切で、美味しい朝食も作って下さいました。鳥のさえずりの中でいただく朝食は贅沢だと思いました。シャワーは少しメンテナンスが必要だと思いましたが、部屋はとても清潔に保たれてました。

夜に到着したため、コテージを見つけるのに少し手間取りました。

Beautiful lodge - very clean with everything you need. The pool is lovely. The hosts are very welcoming - would highly recommend staying for dinner one night as the food was amazing. Not far from the centre - short Tuk Tuk drive. Traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was also great. The hosts also arranged a transfer for us to Kandy.
