A bit removed from shops, but not a major problem as we were staying for one night only.

The staff did not even know we were due to stay there. Felt like we were put in an unused room next to the reception on the ground floor. Mould on the walls and felt unclean. Smell was not good in the room.

We arrived to find bedding was covered in marks. Asked for it to be changed, which staff kindly did. This revealed all pillows were heavily stained and mouldy as was mattress protector. Room and bathroom were tired and need redecorating. We only stayed do 1 night instead of 3.
FROur stay in the hotel was really nice. Richard take really good care of his guests. The pool and the beach were perfect to rest after travelling. We recommend this hotel !

GBWr spent three fabulous nights in this hotel, before moving on to Kandy. Richard and all the staff at the Lighthouse made us feel really at home. Located on the beach front, the view is stunning with fantastic sunsets. Richard and the rest of the team couldn’t do enough to ensure that our stay was truly memorable. The meals we ate here were simply delicious. The pool was immaculate. We stayed in the suite which had a patio balcony and the best view ever over the ocean. The locals were so friendly too. All in all it was a winner. Will definitely return again sometime.
