The Village Resort Palolem

Cleanliness, staff behaviour.

The road leading to the beach is full of stray dogs shouting, and also got chased by stray dog while simply walking in evening, so it felt a bit unsafe especially after evening. Breakfast quantity was less and had limited options.

Helpful staff, good value. Good basic breakfast.

Not 150mtrs to beach, closer to 800mtrs. Lumpy bed.

At first I thought the Village Resort was a little too tucked away from the main Palolem area but actually realised quickly it's a perfect location because it's so peaceful and yet just 3-4 minutes walk to the main road of shops and restaurants. There is a little general store just a few metres away for water and snacky things, and a very good vegetarian restaurant and bakery just a minute's walk away at the end of the road. It's also close to a path off the main road that takes you all the way to the quiet end of Palolem beach, which is great if you want to escape the busy main area. The staff were lovely and friendly and full of smiles. The included breakfast was a real treat because it was just right! Fresh fruit, omelette and fresh coffee, a great start to the day! The wifi was one of the best at a guest house I had during this trip to Goa.

The bed was perhaps a bit too big for the room so no space for a chair, I sometimes prefer sitting up reading indoors - but the outdoor private balcony area was fine for this.

Perfect stay! Loved every minute here. The room is spacious, best shower and bed i had in India after 10 weeks traveling through India. It’s super clean, nice balcony, the breakfast is healthy and fresh made and good in a nice garden. The location is quiet but close to the beach and nice restaurants, shops etc. The staff, owners are lovely! I will come back 🩷

Previously we have stayed right on Palolem Beach which was perfect. This year we were on a tighter budget, and this hotel was great. Big room, huge bathroom, hot shower, cold aircon and a comfortable bed. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was nice, albeit limited. The location was maybe 10 minutes walk from the beach. It was functional and great value for money.

A fridge in the room would be good and maybe a little more choice at breakfast, but for the price we paid, it met our expectations.
