Isle of Skye Guest House

The location was beautiful and the gardens surrounding the property were lovely.

Despite international phone calls made to the property to arrange a change of room to meet the needs of my elderly mother, with support from a representative from Booking.com, changed and confirmed, we arrived to find a different room, upstairs (via a narrow, steep staircase - unsafe for my mother). Phoned the number provided and had a response from Kelly, who was lovely. Asked to wait until she had some clarity for what had happened, was told that the property were not accepting responsibility. We were given a different room, still upstairs albeit with less gradient and, thankfully, a handrail. The room was fine (although the teacup was dirty). “Complimentary” breakfast was awful and in a room that had makeshift towels across spilled liquid on the floor and table. Such a disappointment! We wanted to leave as fast as we could. My mother had stayed there nine years previously and had such a wonderful experience. There was mention once of a partial refund by Kelly but nothing mentioned afterwards.

Really sweet room, nicely decorated and comfortable. Easy to access the property and parking. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Whilst the bathroom had a little heater, it didn't really do the job so it was pretty cold in there! The breakfast was fine but not being able to sit at a proper dining table is tricky with a child eating cereal!

A number of issues in our room (17) for such an expensive hotel. L’accueil, grande chambre propre, bonne literie, sale de bains récente et propre, endroit calme. Je n’ai pas pris de petit déjeuner

C’est un peu cher mais c’est Skye
