Simoya Nature Park

Amazing hospitality from the hosts Sanjee and Madhu. They arranged our transport to and from our stay and Sanjee took us on an amazing day trip around all the key sights. We ate both evenings and the food was some of the best we had in all of Sri Lanka.

The showers were lukewarm and it would have been lovely to have tea or coffee served with breakfast (the juices at breakfast were amazing though).

The attention to detail at Simoya far surpassed any hotel I’ve stayed in; not just in Sri Lanka, but anywhere in my travels. Every element of the stay was so thoughtfully considered, it truly took me by surprise. From the delicious breakfasts and dinners enjoyed on the calming balcony, to the restful night’s sleep on a very comfortable (Western-style) mattress, everything was perfect. I was even able to stream films easily using a Fire Stick, thanks to the strong and reliable Wi-Fi. Madhu and Sanjee have genuinely set the bar for hospitality. I initially came to visit the cave temple, but I’ll be returning for the experience of Simoya itself, 100%. Thank you both for such a memorable and restorative stay.

The hosts were delightful with their loving Sri Lankan hospitality!

The room is clean and spacious. It is also very well appointed. It actually looks like it does in the photographs. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and even packed special treats for me to take to my son each day when I went to watch him play cricket. I can’t recommend this property highly enough.

The attention and care shown and given was outstanding. The room was modern and large.

Absolutely nothing

If you are heading to Dambulla for sightseeing around the cultural triangle or otherwise book the Simoya Nature Park now! Sanjee and Madhu are the perfect hosts who really went above and beyond to make our stay great - even acting as tour guide and driving us to our next destination. The property is within walking distance to the Dambulla caves. The rooms are super clean, spacious and comfy. The highlight however was the breakfast (including beautiful fresh juices) and dinners which were amazing. We really couldn’t fault our stay at all.

The property was beautiful and the room was spacious, modern and well designed. But the real highlight was the husband and wife team, Madhu and Sanjee. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I felt so well taken care of—like coming home to family.

Perfect stay! The owners were so lovely and made Everything so perfect 😍 they organized a Transfer, made the best Dinner and organized a Safari, too. The Room was big and clean. The breakfast and the juice is Amazing! 100% recommendation.
