Simoya Nature Park

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Dambulla. The hotel location is very good. The view from the room was amazing. Having breakfast right in the middle of the nature was amazing. Hotel owner is very cute family and they were so helpful. Hotel owner also does Dambulla tour with his own car. So we had the tour with him and he knows every corner so he was very helpful guide as well. We went to lots of sightseeings with him, including Cave Temple, Sigiriya, Pidurangala rock and village tour, he knew every place that i had in my list so our tour in Dambulla was perfect. Also during the conversation they heard about our 10 year wedding anniversary and they did a nice touch and congratulated as the next day. We also took hotels airport transfer, and Ella transfer we did with hotel owner. Room was clean, breakfast was perfect, we also ordered dinner and it was super tasty and super big in portion. There is nothing that they need to improve, everything was amazing. Thank you so much Madhu and Sanjee. Godak sthuuthi🙏

Everything was perfect

The room was really clean and looking quite well compared to some other places we were in Sri Lanka. I think in Dambulla it might be the best hotel at this price range. The owners are amazing people.

We had an exceptionally large clean room where our wonderful hostess had decorated the bed in flowers. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the food they provided was wonderful and all fresh including the fruit juices. We were a five minute walk to Dambulla cave and a 20 min drive from Lion Rock. I can not recommend this place enough with wonderful hosts.

Arrived as gusts, left as friends! Madhu and Sanjee are the sweetest, most kind family, they took care of us like of their own. Both are great cooks, breakfast and dinner delicious, and Sanjee was around driver for 4 days. They helped us with everything, it was perfect. Thank you!

Nothing!

The room was large and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast on the balcony while watching monkeys in the trees only a few feet away. Breakfast was excellent and our friendly hosts were delighted to organise two tours and our onward journey. It was a bargain.

No complaints.

We stayed for two nights at Simoya in February 2025. It was a very pleasant stay in a clean and comfortable room, with all the facilities for a short or longer stay. The breakfast was a treat, we particularly liked the pancakes with ‘pol pani’. The property has only two rooms at the moment; another two rooms are under construction. The owners, Madhu and Sanjeewa, are a delightful couple who try their best to look after their guests. They are willing to share their local knowledge with their guests without any hesitation. We wish them every success with their future plans for expansion.

Staying at Simoya was an exceptional experience. Madhu and her husband were incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel as though we were staying with family. They provided us with helpful tips about the local area, which enhanced our visit significantly. The breakfast was diverse, featuring fresh fruits and traditional Sri Lankan specialties. Both breakfast and dinner were freshly prepared by Madhu, and everything was absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit juices. Our room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, with a cozy king-sized bed. The large window in the bathroom overlooking the garden added a beautiful natural touch to the space. One of the major highlights is the convenient location—just a short walk to the must-visit Dambulla Cave Temples. Overall, we highly recommend Simoya to anyone visiting Dambulla. A perfect 10/10 experience!

Breakfast so delicious and location is perfect

The breakfast was excellent. We were cooked a delicious traditional evening meal on the first night. The hosts were amazing, so friendly and hospitable. The accommodation was beautiful, the room was exceptional and spacious. All the little extras made our stay memorable. Thank you.
