Qaldea Resort

We had a fantastic evening and night at Qaldea resort! The location is simply perfect and beautiful and the food was absolutely amazing, we had a long warmful dinner and enjoyed some nice music at the end of a rainy day. The 2 young owners was so nice and attentive to our needs, we even had the chance to learn how to make a proper lobiani! Many thanks again for the experience!

The view is amazing. It is located 45 min to Iprari so you can better balance the walking time between day 3 and day 4. Dinner costs 40 GEL with generous portions and excellent food prepared by a chef from Tbilissi. There is also free homemade wine and free homemade chacha. There is a complimentary lunch box. Best of all, the people at the guest house are the nicest I've met on the trek, kind, caring and very helpful. It is the best guest house I've stayed at during the 4 days of the trek.

Great location on the Mestia Ushguli trek. Charming old house located very quietly with fantastic views. Great and very helpful staff. Fantastic food for dinner and breakfast. All prepared freshly!

Sehr umfangreiches lokales Esse - sehr gut. Der Strom fiel mehrfach aus wegen Regen - wir hatten ein Candle light Dinner :-) Wir waren sehr gerne dort - tolle Terasse, tolle Aussicht

Die Betten waren gut und neu aber produzierten teilweise bei Bewegung ein lautes Quitschen- kein Drama aber erwähnenswert

Гестхаус находится в деревне Кхалде, что на пути популярного трекинга Местия-Ушгули. В Кхалде не так много гостевых домов, чтобы выбирать. Гест Qaldea Resort находится на самом краю обрыва, открываются невероятные виды на горы. Чтобы туристы сразу нашли дорогу к отелю, тропинка снабжена яркими голубыми указателями - идти приходится мимо развалин деревни, но конец пути - во дворе восстановленного старинного трехэтажного дома. На первом этаже столовая с длинным столом (трапеза проходит по-старинке - все гости ужинают вместе), очень атмосферно. На втором и третьем этажах находятся комнаты с двухъярусными кроватями (размещение по типу хостела). Несмотря на каменные стены, спать было не холодно. Одеяла теплые. В отеле два санузла на всех (горячая вода регулируется трудно) - приходится ждать очереди. Зато хорошая зона перед домом - с креслами, гамаками, столиками. Можно любоваться видами и общаться. Тем более , что вай-фай так себе, поэтому на вечер лучше предаться оф-лайн жизни. Работники отеля отзывчивы на любые просьбы (вскипятить чайник, например). От отеля к Ипрари идет грунтовка, возможен подъезд на машине. Завтраки и ужины не очень дешевы, но порции весьма обильны. Иностранные туристы ужинали с нами вместе, а вместо завтрака брали только горячую воду в свои термосы. Переночевать в деревне Кхалде - это особые эмоции, мы рады, что благодаря отелю Qaldea Resort нам это удалось. Спасибо.

Электрический чайник, который живет на кухне, один на весь отель - это очень мало. Ждать кипяточка приходится долго. И еще (хоть это не вина отеля): нам не очень повезло с соседями - группа туристов из Турции вела себя так громко, что наслаждаться видом гор было очень затруднительно. Слышимость между комнатами, кстати, весьма большая - слышно как скрипят кровати не только в твоей комнате, но и за стеной, а также все реплики соседей. Это не очень мешает спать тому, кто устал за день, но просто стоит иметь в виду более чувствительным к звукам людям.

Nice place, but that's all that's positive. The staff is a group of young people who just lay in the deckchairs, smoked and looked at their mobile phones. It was not possible to tell if they were staff or guests. They didn't pay attention to us at all and we were the only guests. Out of the 20 days we were in Georgia, the food here was the worst, greasy and overpriced. Dinner was soup, potatoes smothered in oil, and pizza at the level of a child's production. We weren't even offered a drink, we had to flush the toilet. Anyone who has been to Georgia knows what the local food should look like. After this experience, we preferred to pay and cancel the originally ordered breakfast. Older photos of the food do not correspond to the present. This business never again. I would give a smaller rating, but minuses are not possible here.

Helpful staff, nice view and extremely relaxing place! We were glad to have booked here. The other place was full of people and music (we had been there for a beer and it was fun but we would have stay there for the night), so.. if you are looking for quite and relax this is the place to stay! We loved it. The food was really good and they made us an early breakfast to start the trekking day (we wanted to take the upper trail to ushguly)
