Nyima Tashi Buddhist Centre

This was my third visit and second time staying in the single room. There's was a heater available in the room, which was nice. This time for breakfast, there were a lot of seasonal fruits available, as well as 3 types of bread and yoghurt varieties to choose from. The bathtub was excellent to relax in and the bathroom facilities were still very clean. There were a couple of cats from the neighbourhood that visited, which I enjoyed patting. Friendly staff/residents and also a nice mix of friendly travellers :)

Again, a little bit of traffic noise from St Luke's Road, but I brought earplugs.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Contacted me the night prior to checking in to ask about time and then did so on the day as we were running late for check-in time. The rooms were tidy, comfortable, and large size. Absolutely value for money. Lovely clean and bright bathrooms, brilliant shower pressure with liquid body wash for guests to use. I stayed in the retreat room myself. The donation breakfast was brilliant. Lots of cereal selection, alternatice milk also provided, eggs and fresh fruit. You'll have to bring your own bread, though. Location is tucked away at corner of traffic lights, you would never know it was there. Very close to bus stops that can take you most places around Auckland. Easily under 30 min walk to Eden Park and Kingsland shops with lots of lovely food places. Quick 20min bus ride over to Mt Eden too. Under 30 min bus ride into Britomart. The road noise didn't bother me at all, just bring some ear plugs and you'll be sweet.

If you are quite sensitive to smells, the inscenes might bother you, but I got used to them pretty quickly.

I had a hard time closing the entrance door without making too much noise.

This was my second stay and my first time staying in the single room (great value!). Same comments as before, where the self service breakfast was generous and the shared bathroom was maintained up to a high standard.

There was a little bit of traffic noise, but I brought earplugs with me so it wasn't a big deal.
