BLAU Korean Local Experience Stay

Lovely room in a good location. Owners were fabulous. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Washing machine was available to use FOC.

The blinds in the room were not black-out so I was awoken early by the sun.

Locatiom

Upon arrival, despite having booked and sent a message specifying we wanted two separate beds, the code we were given opened a room with just one bed. We had to wait almost half an hour for someone to come and fix it. Later, when returning from our visits, the door access code suddenly stopped working, so… yes, more waiting. The bathroom has no screen or curtain, so water spreads generously everywhere when you shower: floor, walls, furniture… everything ends up soaked. We were only given two small hand towels and no bath towels (perhaps they take turns?). There are no power outlets in the bathroom —I suppose because of the obvious risk of having water everywhere— so if you need one, you’ll have to use the one in the room… but, oh dear, there’s no mirror there. A fun challenge if you want to dry or style your hair without seeing yourself. For the usual daily towel change (as in any normal accommodation), here the procedure is different: you must take your used towels down to reception yourself and pick up the clean ones there. Also, there are no blinds and the curtain is practically transparent, so you can enjoy the sunrise… whether your biological clock likes it or not. No food or drinks are allowed in the room, and the rooms are on the first floor with no elevator, so be prepared if you have luggage… or hire a porter. And breakfast… technically it’s a “buffet”, but to share among several guests: one plate of fruit, one small salad, and one piece of flatbread with jam — so, with luck, everyone gets a bite. Minimalist dining in its collective form. Although this is a guesthouse, it charges hotel prices —which means daily cleaning service should be expected. That service is non-existent: you will even have to make your own bed. To top it all off, we had to cancel our last night because of flight changes and, of course, not a single cent was refunded. In short: an uncomfortable and overpriced experience, though unforgettable… for all the wrong reasons.

Un établissement bien tenu avec des hôteliers adorables et professionnels. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Le rapport qualité/prix est très bien, l emplacement très pratique, à 5 min de la bus station et à 5 min du parc des tumulus.

Very friendly and helpful host with one very cute dog. Breakfast is small but tasty with fresh fruit every day, and eggs on Sunday. Keyless entry is convenient. Room is relatively spacious. Laundry is free and there's a dryer to use as well. Convenient location for walking around.

The bed wasn't super comfortable and running the air conditioner triggered my allergies. The hot water is slow to start but you're told that on check in, so it's not an issue and I only mention it for people to be aware of; it gets pleasantly hot.

The place had everything we needed. The owner is super friendly and helpful. It's close to all main attractions and the bus terminals.

Amazing location super close to the historic district and bars/restaurants. Owner was very friendly and the breakfast was basic but good. Room was clean and a good size.

Hot water was slow to heat up
