The Old Lodge Guest House

The host were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The room was spotless and comfortable. Excellent breakfast in a spotless dining room overlooking a large Green space with horses, we will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Gordon & Deborah are a very friendly couple and have obviously put in a lot of hard work to restore this fabulous Victorian home to it's former glory. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept well. Breakfast was superb (a proper 'full English'!). Looking out from the dining room onto South Park gave one the impression that we were in the heart of the country. I would definitely recommend this wonderful property and hope to return.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable like home from home, fantastic breakfast and the owners were so lovely and friendly, great view across to the common too, would highly recommend and will definitely stay again

Lovely common opposite the house. Very friendly and helpful owners, forewarned us about a football match that may affect parking availablity and helpfully let us check in early to overcome the issue. Very clean room, lovely decor, very comfortable bed. Great breakfast.

The only small thing was that we could hear the conversation of the people in the room next to us so the walls aren't very sound proof.
