Lanta Happy House

The owner is very kind and helpful. He rented us a scooter for our whole stay. Very calm place. bungalow was basic but clean. Slightly far from the main road (about 1 km) but perfect if you have a scooter.

Just came from Da Nang so was searching for a bit of peace and quiet and we definitely found it here. The property has cats, chickens, lizards, birds (saw 2 kingfishers) and cows next door. Its a slice of heaven in the bush and still very close to infrastructure and arguable one of the nicest beaches on the island. Nan the owner and his family are always smiling and happy to help out if you need something. We arrived late and it was no problem at all.

Gets some insects in the room but what. do you expect? It's semi remote so its bound to happen and didn't bother me at all.

The place is perfect - you need a scooter to get around but they can be rented there for cheaper than anywhere else in the island. Jungle paradise with animals, trees, beautifully curated space. The host is a gem.

Friendly staff, very quiet

The house is located around 10 min from the beach, which is advantageous if you want quiet time. The host was very helpful and even booked us the trasportation to our next town.

The place needs a do-over as some of the bed boards were visibly eaten by insects. Despite that, this doesn't pose any risks to guests' health. The only major negative is that it is not very well insulated, and if you have noisy neighbours, you won't be having any sleep that night.

I liked the owner and the location.
