Came back after about 7 years, as a lot of people do. Owners are really friendly and welcoming. Food is great in the restaurant and beach is just a couple of minutes walk away.

The bungalows are spacious and have a cute terrace with a hammock. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the property and there are shops and restaurants around. The attached restaurant at Sonya is simply DELICIOUS and the higher prices are justified. Most importantly, the staff is great. We had some requests for our room and they were met without an hesitation and with a big smile. At the restaurant you can see all the time people coming in and hugging the hostess as if they were long life friends… I think that speaks loudly of the warmth and hospitality of the people who runs Sonya.

everything here is amazing! Really loved this stay, clean bungalows, nice surroundings and lovely staff.

The staff were amazing, helpful and very nice and the restaurant was very good. The rooms were cozy, clean and everything worked well and the beach is just a short walk away, with a selection of bars and places to hang out. (best swimming at mid to high tide) Just a note, you have to go through other resorts on the way to the beach, so be nice and have a meal or a drink or two at the Family bungalow and the New Coconut if you pass through them. Don't bother with the Scandinavian Resort - they won't allow people through, so if you want to support Thai culture and ownership, spend your money elsewhere.
