Hilias Retreat

Friendly staff, possibility to rent a scooter, clean room, close to the beach, the pugs.

The shower was not working properly. Boiler did not give a lot of warm water and also not a alot of water comes out of the shower head. Also bit of a dark room due to the only window being covered.

Everything was great. We would stay again.

The location of the property is infront of Palolem beach. The property was very easily accessible, very clean surrounding along with all necessary amenities you name it. Specially the host Mrs and Mr Hilias were very cooperative and helpful. It felt like home away from home.

An amazing little guest house in the area of Palolem. Basic but very clean and perfect for every need when stopping in the area. 2 mins from the beach an dvery quiet at night. Owners are just fabulous helping with laundry, scooter hire, recommendations etc. I've stopped here multiple times of the past years

Hilias and his lovely wife along with their 2 gorgeous Pugs, make this guest house super special. They are so genuinely warm, and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hilias offered to run my husband to the pharmacy in the next town, and made phone calls for us to help arrange our onward travel. The guest house is really well located, with restaurants and shops and taxis available just outside the door. The beach is accessible in one minute, by walking a path directly opposite Hilias Retreat. Our family room was very clean and spacious, the beds and pillows were fresh and comfortable, decent towels were also provided. it has a generous sized patio with table and chairs, overlooking the garden. We had plenty of hot water, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge with bottled water, a ceiling fan in each room and good air con in the bedroom. The location is quiet and peaceful, we slept very well.
