Résidence au bout du Morne

Die familiäre Atmosphäre in dieser Unterkunft sind für das Ankommen auf Mauritius ein Geschenk. Die Gastgeber sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wurde liebevoll jeden Morgen auf die Etage gebracht und auf Wunsch konnte man auch ein von der Familie selbstgekochtes Abendessen dazu buchen. Wir hatten ein ganzes Stockwerk für uns, es war alles da was man braucht.

Great location, place to park in the driveway, friendly host who was helpful and made us feel very welcome, spacious room and living, aircon and clean facilities. Beautiful spot for sunset across the road.

Unfortunately no hot water on the first night or bowls to use in the kitchen (otherwise well stocked) but very happy overall.

Great guest house ran by a charming and hospitable family who will do the outmost to have a pleasant stay. Huge apartment. The breakfast was slightly different each day. Air conditioning for the hot days. The location is ideal to explore the southwest region. Kayak to enjoy the pleasant sunset. The only weak point is the cars passing by early in the morning but all the other good things exceed that small nuance. We would definitely come back.

The apartment occupies the upper floor of a private house. Small parking area for one car at the front. Very friendly and chatty hosts. Large, two bedroom apartment with big rooms, nicely decorated. There is a large verandah although because this is west facing it does get very hot in the afternoon. It was exceptionally hot and humid when we were there (Feb 2025) and although the bedrooms had aircon (which worked perfectly) there were no fans elsewhere in the apartment or verandah - this would have made a big improvement to comfort in hot weather. The apartment is located across the road from a small beach. Handy location for climbing Morne Brabant mountain (about 4 km to the start of the trail).

Fans would have been good considering the heat. There aren't really any shops or restaurants close by (well there is one small restaurant along the road but it was closed when we were there). You do need a car if staying here as there are several restaurants and a big supermarket in nearby La Gaulette, just 10 minutes drive away but over an hour and a half walk - so not a problem if you are driving. There is a bit of road noise.

The apartment is spacious, very clean, including a balcony with a view od the greenery. The host family is very kind, friendly and hospitable. We had exceptional rich breakfast every day.

Other reviews are correct the house is next to noisy road. However we did not find it as unpleasant as it seems because cars usually pass by at occasional intervals. Some reviews are also correct that some ants and lizards might be found inside the house but we saw them all around the island as the climate is perfect for them and they are totally harmless :)

A beautiful, clean, and spacious apartment with a modern, stylish design. The large terrace offers an amazing view, perfect for relaxing. Beach is right accros the street, perfect location. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. We had such a great time that we ended up extending our visit. I highly recommend this place—you’ll be thoroughly satisfied!
