Janur Bungalow

Everything was just perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Bobby, his wife and the staff were super friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was just amazing, very tasty and beautiful served each time😍 Room was very stylish , bed comfortable, bathroom and shower very good. Great pool area to relax with nice view. The area is quiet and there are no restaurants near by but there is one market on the corner for basic stuff( 2 min walking)and one warung close by open from 9:00 to 18:00 with delicious and cheap food for dinner.( About 5 min walk) . Borobudur temple is just 10 min with the taxi ( you can get there allready for 20-30 k ). About 1.5 h drive to the airport . Thank you for the lovely stay!

Bobby the host/owner is super accommodating and kind throughout our stay. He made sure that everything we need was taken care of.

Janur Bungalows is not for everyone but it suited us 70s plus couple. In the countryside and quaint. Quiet and relaxing and an excellent base for exploring the temples and volcano and the restaurants the area offers. There is a lot more than the Borobudur temple. Impressive though that was. We spent 6 nights and had a good time. Host Bobby and his support staff looked after us very well including a car and driver to take us round at modest cost. It is not at all up market and there are no shops or cafes or Restaurants or beauty salons or tourist attractions within walking distance. We enjoyed being away from the heat and bustle of being in town. And not paying resort prices. And with temperatures in the 30s no hot shower was not a problem. The pictures and description on the booking.com site are accurate

Our room did not have a fridge

The host is incredibly nice, and gave us a lot of useful information about the area, and also some some in site in to the local customs. The floating breakfast and the breakfast in general is amazing. I highly recommend this stay while visiting borobudur.

Everything was perfect! Wished we could have stayed longer. For those who love nature and are visiting Borobudur, stay a few more days so that Bobby can bring you on a village tour 🙂

The unit is as you see in the pictures. It would be excellent for those looking to unwind and get close to nature. Bobby was an excellent host who was so helpful with everything we needed during our short stay. An excellent and unique location for those who want to stay nearby so as to visit Punthak Setumbu for sunrise, Gereja Ayam and Borobudur. Stay at least 2 days to visit nearby places of interest and to do a walking village tour with Bobby or you can also opt for a tour around the village via a vintage volkswagen!

We had a lovely 2 day stay at Janur bungalows, I wish we could have stayed longer. Bobby was really helpful sorting out taxis to and from Borobudur and Yogyakarta. Would highly recommend Bobby’s walking tour, beautiful views and really interesting for all the family.
