Ten Ocean View

Location - about 3 minutes walk from the beach and a few minutes more you’re in the town centre. Easy check in. I think we had the worst of the 4 rooms and it was really nice. Clean, spacious, a few basic in room facilities (kettle, coffee maker, small fridge, snacks) ideal for a couple getting away.

Nothing in particular. I felt the owner could make a bit more effort around basic stuff - weed the front garden, give the stairs a shampoo, clean the ring in the hall, mow the grass in the garden a bit (it had the best view in St Ives and would be lovely to sit out in it and have a drink).

It was still central to everything even though it was also out of the way and it came with parking.

Everything else: this needs an urgent renovation! A BnB without breakfast, 2 steep stairs with dirty carpet, the floor in the room is a sea of stains, two chairs so used up and stained- you don’t want to sit on that, old and uncomfortable bed, …….. It’s a pity, with just a little effort you could make this beautiful again

Excellent views and location within walking distance of all that St Ives has to offer. The parking option was a welcome bonus that just helped ease the usual worries of parking in St Ives. A simple room with all amenities needed for coffee, tea and showering.

The location is fantastic - just five minutes to Porthmeor Beach and The Tate St Ives. Also, the small garden for guests is well-maintained and looks nice. The room itself was spacious enough, and the shower, including a rain shower, worked well.

Unfortunately, the guesthouse looks quite rundown and is in need of renovation. The rug in the entrance hall, as well as the carpets on the stairs and in the room were noticeably dirty. There was also a lingering musty smell on arrival, so airing the room before guests check in would be advisable. In addition, the bathroom could use some attention - the towel radiator and bin were both quite rusty and should be replaced.
