Ortyx Mini Suite

The location of the flat is great, in the very centre of Ortigia, with lots of great places to eat and visit in the direct neighbourhood. It is a good choice for someone who wants just a place to sleep (the room is basically just a bed with very little space around it) and plans to be outside most of the time. The contact with the host was also without any issues.

The isolation from the outside is very weak, both by the window and by the doors (we were located in the "Small Double Room"). There are several wide gaps between the door and the door frame (see picture), so you can hear everything that happens on the building's staircase and in the corridor leading to the rooms (where the fridge is located). I really think that at least the doors need to be changed; they are simply ridiculous. The window should also be fixed. If someone is a light sleeper, this is a very inconvenient "feature" and really affects the overall pleasant impression of this place.

Very helpful communication from owners. The location can’t be beat-excellent location!!

One block from duomo. Host very responsive. Close - one or two blocks to Piazza Archimedes

There was only a French door. Had to leave it open to allow fresh air in while sleeping. Host said it's safe and it was, though door close to a stairway.

Superb location, clean and friendly staff

The room is too humid for me, it’s characteristic of the Italian historical town style, and keep in mind that it is pretty small, best if you stay out during the day
