The owner is very polite and helpful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. View from the balcony is exceptional and guesthouse is very close to the river.

One needs to walk through the narrow alley/streets for about 15 minutes to get to the property from the parking lot. We arranged a porter with the guesthouse and it was not a problem for us, but it might be for some people.

- Repair work going on some rooms gives it an unkept look - House keeping was not done every day. On Day 3 it was done in request

Our room was quiet and comfortable. Great view over the Ganga river. Our host (hotel manager) was a wealth of knowledge regarding advice for foreign tourists staying safe in Varanasi and general local knowledge. Home cooking every night was a delight to come back to in the evening after a busy day out seeing the many sites.

I didn’t like the minefield of alleyways which we had to battle through to reach the hotel.Fortunately we got a guide from the local market area to assist us without this assistance we would have really struggled.You can’t drive up to the hotel or take any form of transport you have to walk through very narrow passageways crowded with, motor bikes, cows, goats, beggars and people cooking and trying to sell you things you don’t want.It stinks so bad of urine, food, animals and poop. However when you reach the hotel it is an amazing place, authentic in every way,the real deal for a true adventure and a life long memory.

The location is exceptional. You can have a good view of the mighty ganges from the room balcony. Not all room types offer this view so be sure while making the booking. Since the hotel is situated right at the ghat, it is far from the main road and requires a walk of around 15 minutes to reach from the main road. The hotel will help you in carrying your luggage from the main road till hotel and back. But the positive point is that many of the major temples are around the hotel including Kashi Vishwanath, which is also very close. Since it is at ghat, you can just get down the hotel and reach the ghat and book boat rides from there or have a bath in the Holy Ganges. We were a family of 5 including a toddler and required special services like toddler food and milk, which was taken care by the hotel v.well. Mr. Kushagra is the caretaker here and he goes out of the way to help every guest. We have had many other incidences where he helped us during our 3 days stay. The food served at the hotel was delicious, hygenic and healthy including breakfast and dinner. Overall, it was a great stay and experience for us.
