Nimal's House

Nimal's House boasts a fantastic location for exploring the beautiful southern coast. Conveniently located just 50 meters from the nearest bus station, it's also a mere 10-minute walk to the turtle point, a short stroll to Dickwella beach, and a quick tuk-tuk ride to the vibrant Hiriketiya. The family were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like part of it. The shared fridge and kitchen were a huge plus, allowing us to prepare some of our own meals. They were always ready with helpful tips and suggestions, and genuinely cared about our comfort and experience. Our only regret was that we only booked four nights. If we had more time, we would have definitely extended our stay.

Nimal's house is our favorite place in Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect, the neighborhood is very safe and close to Dickwella Beach and near the Hiriketiya town. The accommodation is clean, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The owners are one of the kindest people I've met. So, I recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel at home. We will sure come back!

Everything was perfect!

A very convenient location in the foot available from beautiful beaches for every taste. A wonderful family sheltered me, fed a hearty and delicious breakfast. And here they will always answer any requests. Thank you.

Real nice hostess, good beds, warm shower. The place itself is lovely and has a great athmospere.

It is the perfect place to explore the beaches in Dickwella. The homestay is located in a quiet side street just a few minutes from the beach. The family is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and there is enough storage space. There is also a very nice kitchen and a big common area.

The families hospitality is exceptional! They met us with iced tea and on our last day they also spent some time with us enjoying the traditional tea. They also taught our son how to play carrom, he was super excited about it. The breakfast was also very delicious, homemade bread, amazing pancakes etc. We have stayed in the standard double room but the bed was big enough for the three of us. Overall it’s a great value for money.

The family was incredibly hospitable. We were offered tea and pancakes and felt very welcome at this accommodation. The room had a large bed, a spacious bathroom, and a well-functioning air conditioner. The location was perfect as it is right by the beach, where we could snorkel with sea turtles in the morning. Even after check-out time, we were allowed to take a shower. The owner also helped us find an affordable tuk-tuk to get to our next destination. We highly recommend this place!

The location was great, the owners were wonderful and the food was delicious. Also our welcome juice was the best fruit juice we had in SL.

One of my favourite stays in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Beautifully clean room, and the most lovely family running the place. They were so helpful and went above and beyond to help with anything. The breakfast was incredible and so much food for a very fair price. You can also swim with turtles walking distance from Nimal’s. Would highly recommend, we wished we could have stayed longer. There was a big kitchen you could use too.

Location was excellent and the room was comfortable. The service was great, we enjoyed our stay. We received a lot of tips and suggestions. I recommend this place.

We had 2 cockroaches in our room and the towels were not clean.
