Virtue House

Despite being on a busy street, there was little to no noise coming from the outside in. The check-in was very simple and worked instantly. The room was comfortable enough and had a small AC unit, as well as a fan and a TV. The place is very close to the Woolwich DLR and Elizabeth Line stations, which makes it very easy to get into the city centre.

The furniture in the room could use some reinforcement - the desk and the closet were almost literally falling apart, so I avoided setting anything there. The doors were all quite squeaky, so owing to the thin dry walls, you could disturb the other guests just by going opening the door to the toilet for example. Fortunately, the other guests were quiet and not easily disturbed, so no conflicts arose.

Great location near to transport links (DLR etc), ease of entry, clean kitchen. It was very quiet when I stayed. Excellent value for money.

The room was small but that was to be expected at the competitive price.

Cosy room, plenty of bathroom stuff, kitchen to make a coffee. Location: Close by to excel centre for those comic con fans Restaurants all around for a quick bite

Wardrobe was rickety so had to only hang t shirts. Showers are small, but have a little area on the other side of the door for slippers and towel.

Access to the kitchen to cook meals. Easy access to the toilet and shower. Access to YouTube and some of the streaming services. Location was good, as it was in the centre of everything. Quiet, most of the time. Very accommodating landlord who was there every other day, cleaning.

The stairs were precarious and I had to edge down them when descending. The thin walls: I was nearest the toilets and showers so could hear everyone's ablutions. Room got hot easily, which is understandable as I was on the top floor, although you can open the window. However, I don't advise switching on the air conditioner as it sounds like a plane landing!
