Ridge House

Our stay at the Ridge House was absolutely wonderful with a grand beautiful room and view, a most pleasant atmosphere created by Linda and Martyn, and a delicious breakfast. Seeing the whales jumping up in the air from the shore and hiking in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve made our stay one to remember.

A beautiful luxury room, really clean and comfortable with an incredible view. Linda and Martyn are amazing hosts, made us feel really welcome and gave us great recommendations. If you get a chance to stay here don’t miss out!

Despite the appalling weather, our stay at Ridge House was superb. Aloe Suite is spacious with everything that you could need for a comfortable treat-yourself stay. The fireplace counteracted the winter storm (and I loved the fact that the sofa had a high back, so you felt cocooned in front of the fire); the hot tub warmed up beautifully and was used, despite rain and the wind; the views were incredible; the bed large and very comfortable; the electric blanket very welcome. Linda and Martyn were lovely hosts - checking on us throughout the storm, offering board games, bringing delicious breakfast in our room, keeping us stocked with firewood, and suggesting restaurants for our lunches and evening meals.

The only suggestion I would make is to have a carpet next to each side of the bed, so that you don't need to step out of bed onto a cold floor!
