When you see the picture of the hallway it looks lovely. It is not like that upstairs. Dark corridors, chipped paintwork. Our room was really dirty. We did go down stairs to speak to the management. We knocked and knocked on the door, we could hear sounds, movement from behind but nobody came. We wanted to complain. Our room had dirty stains on the ceiling, walls. The furniture was shocking. Behind the Toilet water cistern there was a dirty sock and cobwebs. The smell was awful in the room. The owner had put a notice on the door regarding no food in the room and if there were odour s she would charge £250 to clean it. Well I'm shocked as the food smell would probably have made it smelt better than what it did what a check to charge for that. No happy at all. I did try to contact Booking.com customer service and there's no phone number. I definitely won't use Booking.com again or staying in the sandpiper. Avoid at all costs

Nice welcome from the host. V comfortable beds.

Location was very good.

This hotel needs a good update, redecoration and new furniture. It is almost like it is being run as a hobby or part time.

Good location near Barmouth train station as I came by train good value room had a fridge so I could chill my wine

Room a little basic with old furniture…Rear property room..stained ceiling…Gaining free parking close to property is very difficult.
