The Sandy House Khaolak

Really solid budget hotel, close to beach, scooter rental and room has ac. But this is not for hotel lounging as the facilities are zero.

Beware of the steps.

Excellent location, a very nice beach a few minute walk away. Night market within a walking distance, lots of shops and restaurants. Laundry services and massage places close by, and also tour and transport organizing. Room is cleaned every day and the pretty little balcony is a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay.

The room was a very good size with a nice small balcony to sit on. There was coffee and a kettle with water being replenished every day. The room was always cleaned to a high standard. The location was excellent and although close to the beach and restaurants the noise didn't cause any concern.

I imagine this is a language problem but the 2 female staff in the shop who you check in with were pretty rude. After being shown to my room I tried to enquire why there was 2 keys on the key ring. I knew one was for my room and thought the other might be for the outside door. I didn't want to be locked out and when I asked she just started rambling on and shouting and seemed to be getting angry.

A fantastic room. A good size with two huge windows and balconies. Just behind the beach. Peaceful location.

After a misunderstanding about our located room everything was good. I wanted a room at the back on the second floor and thankfully they moved us from the 3rd (I have bad knees). Lovely room and location is beside La Flora resort. Very busy area with lots of shops and restaurants. The shop below which is the reception area too was adequately stocked especially beer! English run restaurant nearby called Mars with home made bread is a must visit! We hired motorbikes and went to Coconut beach and White Sand beach. Had a wonderful experience going to Ko Kho Khao where the drivers of the long tailed boats put your bikes on and off the boat for you!

Nothing really. On reading the reviews about the staff (cleaners were lovely and friendly) who didn’t have good customer vibe was a bit true only I believe it is their culture (possibly Chinese?) maybe a bad day beyond did get a few smiles :)

Well worth budget hotell, good service, good cleaning helpful personal when the shower hose start leaking water i just had to tell them and they fixed ut.
