Gages Mill

The owners were a lovely couple. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with a lovely sitting area. The breakfast was really good. There is an honesty bar with very reasonable prices. The Mill was only a short walk from Dartmoor Lodge, which does food for an evening meal. There is plenty of parking.

There is a no pet policy, which didn't bother us at this time as we are between dogs but it is the only thing that would prevent us from booking again in the future.

Walls are a little thin upstairs. We weren’t disturbed by anyone else but I felt I needed to remind our kids not to make a noise. Luckily they were given the run of the garden to let off steam so it worked out fine.

It was a delightful place to stay with a history of a very old mill set in the country but with an excellent pub 5 minutes by foot. From our window we saw a fox with the sheep who paid no notice. Plenty of places to sit outside and I would definitely recommend it!

The position was excellent for touring the area.Pubs and restaurants were just a few minutes drive away.Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful.Hosts very welcoming.

It had everything I needed, great quiset location with wonderful views of the area. I was impressed with how well I was looked after, nothing was too much trouble and I hope to return soon. Breakfast was excellent.

Weather on the first day could have been better.
