Starlight Mountain Lodge SIGCHOS

The StarlightInn is at a perfect location to start the Quilotoa loop. It is at walking distance from where the bus leaves you in Sigchos. The view is incredible. We were two couple of friends staying in two separate double rooms. Each room came with its own bathroom and shower. The dining room (where we also had our breakfast) has a nice big table, at night we sat by the heater and played some boardgames available for guests. The owners were kind and friendly. They were able to accommodate various dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free).

When we arrived there was no one to welcome us, however, we let ourselves in and played pool in the reception while waiting for Victor. I understand that as there have been few tourists lately they also run a cafe in town and we hadn't specified our time of arrival.

Free water, coffee and tea. Food was good and personal was very nice. Great place to start the quilotoa loop from. Bed was really good.

Perfect location for the start of the Quilotoa loop with amazing views into the valley from the garden! Super friendly staff, cosy fire place area and plentiful breakfast!

Note there is no hot water in the shower and the portion sizes for dinner are a little small! Note breakfast is from 08:00 in the morning.

Good location, friendly staff and beautiful views!

Just a couple things could've been better! I asked for a vegetarian lunch box but got a sandwich with meat on it. I think that happened beacause a different lady prepared the lunch box. The fruits for breakfast were maybe cut on a board where also garlic and onion or something like that were cut, because they had a funny side taste to them. However, I think that these two downsides were just accidental and our overall stay was very good!

Rustic spot in a great location to start out hike

Lovely little hostel with insane views over the mountains. The room was little but very comfy. The host and the lama are super nice. We got free water, tee, and coffee and had a good lunch and breagt breakfast. For 3 USD, we got a lunchbox with a sandwich, apple, banana, cookies, chocolate, and little sweets. Just great. The host even gave us 2 poles for the hike. There is also a luggage transfer for 20 USD to the final hostel in Quilotoa. Definitely recommend.
