Starlight Mountain Lodge SIGCHOS

It is charming, though from the outside might not guess. The views from its location are great. Anna who did the cooking, some of the tastiest in my travels on the Quilotoa loop. The wool ponchos to borrow are cozy and cut the chill.

While I was there only Anna there, the language barrier didn’t allow me to understand hot water system. I ended my hike here, lack of information on bus schedule frustrated me, but also worked out fine.

A spectacular and cozy start for the Quilatoa hike! I borrowed a nice bike for a ride around town, followed by a cozy and delicious dinner by the fire. The owner, staff, and views are magical

We stayed in the Azul room and it was an incredible view looking over the valley. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, and the location was unbeatable. We stayed the night before starting the Quilotoa trail and it was right beside the trailhead.

Victor and his family were so kind and welcoming. I arrived to a lovely fire and within a few minutes of arriving had a meal ready for me. Breakfast was a huge meal and prices for the lunch is really good. It was such a nice place with beautiful view, so quiet and peaceful and right next to the start of the quilotoa loop trek.

we couldn't get the hot water to work

Such a great location overlooking the valley and seeing the mountain peaks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bikes were free to use, easy ride into town. Cooking facilities were great they’ll also cook you food if you request breakfast/dinner. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the doggy. Highly recommend. Thanks so much for having me has been one of my favourite hostels so far.

Proximity to the Quilotoa Loop trail, quiet, quaint, scenic view.
