Ocean Home Guest House

Ocean Home Guest House has an amazing view of the Ocean and coastline and is surrounded by nature. The host JP was exceptional and showed me around the area including a trip to a local freshwater river to cool off from the summer heat. I highly recommend this accomodation.

The owner and his friends are very nice and friendly, we had good time there,highly recommend.

A guest from the UK stayed there and posted a review on 8 May 2023 entitled "Don't bother". We agree - that review says it all. Frankly, the place is filthy and in a state of negligent disrepair. The bathroom, in particular, is a disgrace. The "Don't bother" review includes photos, so you can judge for yourself. What that review doesn't mention is the lack of security. As we were heading out on our first morning there, we asked the host for a house key. We were informed that the house is never locked. In addition, there was no lock on our bedroom door. Thus the property completely lacks security, which is another thing to consider before booking. We had booked for three nights, but we left a day earlier than planned. If we had known about the lack of cleanliness and security, we would not have made this booking. Several guests have pointed out deficiencies. The host should consider these comments and take steps to improve his service. Unfortunately, he responds sarcastically to feedback that is not 100% positive. It seems unlikely that he will make any improvements.

It’s not a hotel. It’s a guest house so be prepared. It’s nice and cosy with a very nice view of the sea from the room. Very interesting experience for me this trip (while sitting in the stairs) 😅

I just wish we had more days to spend at Ocean home guest house. Casual and relaxing, the host was helpful and friendly. If you want some time overlooking the sea in a laid back guest house this place is for you.

It's a bit difficult to find at first.

The location and ocean views were amazing. My son and I especially enjoyed talking to John Paul about his experience living in Japan. All in all it was exactly the stop over I hoped it would be.

Not really a negative but be aware that payment is in cash not credit card.

Location - a fantastic view out over the ocean. Very nice, interesting host, he even drove us into town and pointed out places to go.. Good facilities, shared his kitchen, private bathroom.
