"Exceptional"

Honestly we love it, we love homely lived in places with soul and this place had that. After a few hours we were wishing we had booked another night or two. John Paul is wonderful and friendly and made us feel right at home. The neighbourhood is quiet and the view is just gorgeous. Highly recommend.

"Don’t bother"

View was okay, but definitely didn’t outweigh the

While I don’t usually like to write negative reviews, the response from the host (after agreeing to repay my booking) deserved a review and a WARNING to anyone who books. The house is extremely worn and dirty, especially for the price. Firstly, the shower had to be turned on with a screwdriver, the wifi didn’t work (he’d used up his monthly allowance), the fridge and bathroom was filthy, (we didn’t use the kitchen) and quite frankly the place needs a good clean (as does the poor dogs house -the smell was horrendous). To top the experience off, the host backtracked on his agreement to refund us with the most disgusting email. “As you know, there is about as much chance as you staying at my house, for free, due to entitlement as there is accepted acknowledgment in the integrity of narcissism. I don't pay people to stay at my guesthouse” Booking.com has been informed of his backtracking - this type of person should not be a host; so please take this as a RED FLAG warning to steer clear of someone who reacts this way. Bleach and soap doesn’t cost much!

"A wonderful location, with breathtaking views over the Pacific Ocean."

The sea view from the house is wonderful - we saw the sun rise and later people out surfing on the waves. And the helpful English host let us use his kitchen and living room to prepare and eat breakfast, while gazing at the view.
