Old House

It was traditional house built into boulders. Eloisa & Fernando were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

Lots of stairs so wouldn’t work for anyone with mobility issues.

Eloise was wonderful. Breakfast was more than we expected. The house is a cozy combination of several small spaces unfortunately connected with lots of steps which might be a problem for some. The bed was very comfortable. The location is ideal for exploring Monsanto.

Location is excellent. Eloiza, the host is a wonderful person who makes you feel you are at home, she makes sure you have everything you need. My husband and I would come back to Eloisa without droughts and recommend this place anyone who wants to experience a medieval stay. The house is large and comfortable.

We love everything

The property is what you want – – clean, quaint, and comfortable. What takes it over the top are the hosts, Fernando and Eloisa. They were super accommodating and very friendly. The extras were things like bedsheets that were not only clean, but smelled amazing , towels that were large and smelled great and most important a very comfortable bed. The hosts picked up our luggage from our parking spot. They made dinner reservations for us at the fabulous Monsanto bistro. They were available at a moments notice. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay, but it did not deter our hosts from bringing our delicious breakfast in our room and from helping us get our luggage back to our car for departure. They brought us umbrellas too! They truly went over and above all around. We look forward to returning.

There was not a single thing wrong with the property. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate this time.

やはりロケーションが良かったです。リスボンからCastelo Brancoまではバスで移動。その後タクシーで向かいましたが、タクシーの運転手さんが宿泊オーナーをよくご存知でモンサント到着後すぐに迎えて来れました。タクシーが入れない小さな路地をオーナーのEloizaさんが小さな車でトランクを運んでくれて助かりました。可愛らしく綺麗な部屋でした。朝食も色々な種類を準備頂き、美味しく食べて宿を後にしました。

Our hosts were incredible—warm, patient, and accommodating. We had a car snafu that required some extra help, and Fernando and Eloiza were on top of it with full hands open. The actual home was much bigger than I anticipated, and the breakfast was complete. Eloiza even offered homemade sauce for us to make pasta at home. Everything was incredible. Just book it!

Prachtig en verrassend ruim huisje, heel charmant ingericht, ongelooflijk uitzicht, heel vriendelijke en gastvrije gastvrouw. En dat alles in een schilderachtige dorpje.

Such a quaint and gorgeous villa! Love the little terrace where you can enjoy a beverage and stunning views. Breakfast was delightful and made with love! Pack a small overnight bag and be prepared to walk a little - comfy shoes a must!
