Very comfortable and clean. Lovely host and beautiful area, off the beaten track. Great breakfast.

Beautiful room with all you needed. Location was stunning with a private beach. Angela was a wonderful host and cook.

Far exceeded expectations. Was met in the driveway and whisked to our amazing room. Clean, huge bathroom. Nicely appointed. We then went for the walk she suggested down to the beach. Surrounded by huge cliffs. Amazing views. We’re met by some peacocks and chickens too!! Amazing country setting. The breakfast was so wonderful. The bread….i could eat the whole load. Then as we were leaving Angela comes running out with some fresh, still hot muffins for the road. Truly cares about her guests. Can’t thank her enough!!!!

Excellent spacious cottage with lovely hosts — a completely separate building. The location is quite remote from any services, but allows for an excellent walk to the sea side. The cottage had a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, kettle and a capsule coffee machine. There are peacocks somewhere nearby, sometimes they pay a visit. There is no breakfast, but kind hosts brought us some croissants, jam and milk.

That's all nitpicking, the place is great. It's a remote place, so you'd need to drive for a dinner (you can also grab something in the supermarket and warm it up in the microwave, there is a dining table in the cottage). The turn is a sharp one right from the highway and pretty easy to miss.

Wonderful host, room is beautiful, spacious for 3, comfortable, elegant and functional.

Quaint apartment just north of Stonehaven. Very nice host who went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. Comfortable beds and very clean accommodations. Came with yogurt, juice, fresh bread and marmalade as well as tea and coffee. The huge bonus here is the beach. What a treasure! A short hike from the apartment and you’re on a mystical, craggy-cliffed private beach. Absolutely stunning! My kids even braved the North Sea for a quick dip.

Nice rooms and a lovely host. Angela was super helpful, showing us around and serving a great breakfast. Nice area with beautiful views of the cliffs and hiking trails into town.

Absolutely beautiful place! We were met by 2 of the 7 peacocks on the property ! The room was very spacious and the decor and furnishings were beautiful- we wanted for nothing. Angela was a welcoming host & gave us good recommendations for dinner & a beautiful walk along the cliff top near by which had breathtaking views! A lovely breakfast the next morning before our checkout. Highly recommend Toad Hall
