Share House Amigos

Wonderful hosts, very kind hospitality. We came as a family of 5 and the setting was perfect. One room was equipped with classical tatami mats and futon bedding. One room was with bunkbeds western style which the three sons preferred. We had a kitchen area and the top floor for us. We could leave our luggage with the hosts while we were on the bike tour to Imabari. The kind host even drove us to the station with the big luggage.

The staff were lovely and spoke English and Spanish. The location of this traditional Japanese house is convenient, walking distance to the JR station and the ferry for cycling Shimanami kaido. We were provided with ham, eggs, bread and a fully equipped kitchen to make meals. Very quiet and comfortable stay. Flexible check in time.

The hosts are flexible and super helpful with luggage storage, check-in and check-out. The tatami is very comfortable.

The Amigos guest house was one of our best stays in Japan! We felt like we were at home. Isao and Elena were the cutest hosts. They were even picking us up on a late arrival from Shin-Onomichi, which is a bit more far then the Onomichi Station. They made sure we had everything we need and were more than welcoming. The house itself was really beautiful! A 150 years old japanese style house, I don’t know if you could experience any more authentic stay. The rooms were very clean and as described in the pictures. Elena prepared beds for us but also offered that we could sleep on Futon beds, which we always wanted to try. And this was the most comfy sleep for me of our whole 3 weeks trip. We loved the interior and the tatami floor was our favorite. At our stay we were the only guests at the Amigos house and shared the kitchen and bathroom only with their children, which we didn’t even noticed. But like said in the beginning, it felt like home. Last but not least, the location: from our small indoor balcony we were able to see the sea. So, we were very close to it. And also very close to the shopping street and many restaurants. Walking to the station was maybe about 10-15 minutes. Same goes for one of the ferries, so it was super nice to get anywhere fast. We can only recommend to come here! When coming to Onomichi you should stay at the amigos share house.

Everything was super nice! So we can only write a little tip for what to eventually bring when you stay here. Mosquito spray or something like this.

Isao and Elena are wonderful! Fantastic, kind hosts, and a beautiful traditional house with huge guest room (beds as well as futons). Thank you so much for sharing your home. The location is right off Onomichi's main arcade.

Thank you Elena and Isao for this wonderful experience of japanese hospitality. The Room was very spacious and comfortable. My daughter loved all the toys you provided and my wife complained, that i book the best accomodations for only one night. Thank you Elena for bringing us to the Train station. I wish you all the best.

Very friendly hosts. Free water, and toast, eggs , ham, coffee and tea for breakfast. Good wifi. Clean, spacious room. The shared bathroom and toilets are clean. We could leave our luggage there when we went away on our overnight biking trip to Imabari. A well equipped kitchen.
