Onilwe Resort Weligama

Good rooms, great breakfast, pretty balcony.

Really clean, comfy and good size rooms. The breakfast was great, and we also had dinner there too - The food was amazing!

- Laundry service - Owner very nice - easy and quick to reach via whatsapp - later checkout possible as I had a surf lesson in the morning - Air conditioning good - bed comfortable - very quiet at night - Shower jet good and warm water - Outdoor area very nice - also very nice with the tree in the middle - about 15 minutes walk to the beach and good restaurants

- 5 cockroaches (3 in the bathroom cupboard, 1 in the bedroom, 1 in the shower) and a few ants + mosquitoes in the room - There are gaps on the terrace door and bathroom window, allowing mosquitoes to get through - No drinking water (for refilling) available - you can NOT call a PickMe TukTuk from this location. I have tried several times. Nobody accepts - Wifi (to really work or for meetings you should fall back on the mobile data volume) - not really shampoo and shower gel available - only 1 towel

The food was a delightful surprise, offering rich flavors at very reasonable prices. Plus, safety and comfort are clearly top priorities here, with convenient and secure onsite parking making everything hassle-free. Its prime location, just minutes from both the town and the beach, makes it the ultimate stay for anyone looking to experience Weligama. Can’t wait to return!
