The place is super comfortable and the host, Janaka, is marvelous.

There are some things, that could have been better, like cleanliness, common kitchen, but it is Sri Lanka, and not the center of Berlin, so those are expectable.

The host Janaka was extremely welcoming and helpful. Not only he provided the breakfast, which was really good (fruit plate, eggs/omelet, sandwiches, coffee/tee), he also made us shashlik and grilled fish. The room had air-conditioning and hot water at all times, except when there were power cuts, but usually it did not last more than a couple of hours. In general the place has an exceptional quality to price ratio.

Onilwe is a small, cozy and well-designed resort located in a quiet place a bit far from tourists crowds, newertheless it is in a walking distance to the beach, nearby shops and restaurants. The room was comfy enough with good AC, good water pressure in shower and good Wi-Fi. Yummy breakfast (choice of continental, Sri-Lankan etc) for just a bit addition to the room rate. Overall, with no doubt the spot has one of the best money/value ratio in Weligama. For last but not least, the Onilwe’s owner Janaka is a very nice and openminded dude doing his best to help guests with all their needs.

Best place we stayed during 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Host are very nice guy, helpful, but you have a feeling that he cares about comfort and not showing too much. Served amazing breakfast that he prepared. Also 4 dogs in territory very friendly and always waiting.
