Very nice local guest house, good value for money.

I loved my time in Hai Phong as well at Happy Guest House. You are close to the main street but not directly on it. Only a few steps down the quiet alley. I loved all good options nearby where you can truly immerse with the locals, sit down and eat an authentic meal. The staff here was friendly as well making our check in easy. I would recommend this to everyone.

The owner couldn't speak English but was so friendly and helpful. And with google translation it wasn't a problem. The room was clean and the heating worked well. The bed was comfortable. Only the pillows smelled bad, at least for us.

No sign in English on the main street. You have to go down an alley at 70 Lac Tray and you'll see the sign in English. Location is about a mile from the center so its either walk or taxi. Not a lot of food options in the immediate vicinity. No 7-11 or Circle K around.

A very convenient location to explore Haiphong by foot. The entrance is hidden in a small alley. It is a lovely guesthouse with a wonderful host family. Very friendly and most helpful. Nice room with comfortable bed. Laundry service provided inhouse.

Nice big room with nice bathroom

Difficult to find because the access is through a small alleyway (+ if it rains heavily, the alley is flooded)
