Great people, fantastic rooms, amazing views, bed-would like to take it home but won’t fit in luggage.

Everything, really. Lovely setting, high class (but not at all flash) accommodation, friendly staff and an overall very “chilled” vibe.

Nothing really. We booked through Booking.com at very short notice as we were dissatisfied at our hotel in Camps Bay, and decided to look elsewhere. We were informed on arrival that we would have to move rooms halfway through our 3 night stay, which was a disappointment, and not mentioned when booking. But, we accepted that without complaint. I did email the owners prior to leaving asking if I could book 3 rooms for a 3 day stay next January and a as informed that was not possible due to a 5 day minimum stay policy. I was disappointed that the response was a flat refusal, and I consider that sort of inflexibility to be short sighted. I have now booked somewhere else for that visit, at a place which also looks excellent, and I think the inflexibility referred to below risks loss of business. I would have loved to have brought my 2 adult children and their husbands to VLV, but it wasn’t to be.

Ausserordentlich Lage und Aussicht. Die einzelnen Gebäude liegen in einem schönen Garten auf verschiedenen Ebenen und sind über Treppen und Stufen erreichbar. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Eindrücklicher Pool und stylische Lounges. Schöner Frühstücksraum mit täglich sehr feinem Frühstück.

Es gibt einige wenige kleine Details, die nicht ganz perfekt sind. Damit lässt sich jedoch ohne Weiteres leben.

Breakfast was lovely but a bit wasteful. The continental part was served to all tables individually and I noticed there was lots left on all tables.
