This accommodation was spectacular. The photos do not do it justice. We had a gorgeous room with stunning uninterrupted ocean views from both the bedroom and the full sized kitchen. The balcony was the most perfect place to sit and wind down with a glass of wine at the end of each day. The accommodation in general was very clean and well appointed. Andrea was wonderfully attentive throughout. Accommodation with balconies and water views are few and far between in Cinque Terre. This one is a stunner. Theres lots of steps to get up to this accommodation, but thats the charm of these gorgeous seaside towns. The stairs to this accommodation are well worth the climb.

The whole apartment was beautiful and spacious with a magnificent view.

It was very difficult to find (the booking.com map is incorrect) but what disturbed us was an elderly couple who were checking discovered their bathroom was down a flight of stairs from their bedroom which is not stated in the booking information and when they spoke to the host they were told ‘if you don’t like it just leave’ and they were booked in for 5 days.

This apartment is at the top of the village in Corniglia. The location on booking.com was incorrect but the manager was kind enough to guide us onto the correct building. The room was very nice and the view was spectacular. It was just a short walk to some nice restaurants.

The apartment is at the top of Corniglia, with an impressive view of the sea. It isn't a hotel, but a B&B style apartment. Access from the station is by a shuttle bus, very crowded, and then another two hundred metres through a narrow street and up some mighty stairs.

Communication regarding entering the building and apartment was poor. Perhaps an email or text message once check-in time was reached would have facilitated this. Perhaps my negativity is also coloured by my overall disappointment with the Cinque Terra experience - overcrowded, overboomed and overpriced.

View is superb. Good bed. Calm.

Apartment is not well maintained. Shaky furniture, shower door coming off etc. Not clean, hairs, stains, crumbs, crusts etc. The essentials were clean enough, though, toilet, sink, bed; we were able to enjoy our stay. Payment: We payed by credit card when we arrived, after which we were asked to pay a tax in cash, and when I showed a print-out of our booking on booking.com which showed that the tax was already included in the price payed by card, the receptionist said, oh then it is ok.

Appartmento Giumin is an amazing apartment with incredible views over the Ligurian sea and Manarola. The facilities are top notch, the place is exceptionally clean. The kitchen is very spacious almost as big as the room itself. There's an attached balcony and a public terrace beside it to enjoy the sunset. We loved the apartment. Overall excellent.

The check in process is simply horrendous. There was no communication before we reached the hotel door. We called the owner (who does not speak much English) and were told the code to the front door. We were told that the keys will hang on the door of the apartment which we couldn't find when we got there. After a while we were told that two French gentlemen have "mistakenly" checked into our apartment. And we will have to spend the night in a small room downstairs which is less than half the size of the apartment we booked without a kitchen and a really tiny bathroom. This was all communicated via automated translation over the phone because there is no staff in the hotel after evening. This was so unexpected and really spoiled our holiday mood but apparently it was the only option. We were then moved to our apartment the following day when the other guests checked out and we were given a discount in the room rate. Despite that, we really didn't appreciate the night that was wasted due to a very inefficient check in process which meant we couldn't unpack and then had to stay in to move our luggage the following day.

The location was superb for us, right in the middle of the other villages. This meant we were able to hike from Corniglia to all the villages and return at the end of the day by train. Perfect location. The Apartment itself was fantastic, with everything we needed. Plenty of toiletries and the towels were extremely soft. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped, couldn’t ask for anything else. We walked up the road from the station when we arrived with our suitcases as we didn’t want to struggle up the steps. There were other steps up to the apartment but this didn’t put us off. The views from the balcony were outstanding.

The views were sensational. Kitchen well stocked.

Bed sheets were polyester…
