Dhangethi INN

Die Lage der Unterkunft war super. Sie liegt nur wenige Meter von den Restaurants und dem Sunset Steg entfernt. Zudem gab es eine Waschmaschine, die man kostenlos nutzen konnte und es wurden kostenlos Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung gestellt.

Unser Zimmer war schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Im Badezimmer hat es leider zwischendurch nach Urin gerochen. Zudem war der Spülkasten der Toilette undicht, sodass es um der Toilette nass war. Es wird zudem kein Deckenbezug benutzt. Der Besitzer war zwar bei WhatsApp immer erreichbar aber selten vor Ort. Das Frühstück war sehr dürftig. Es wird zwar kostenlos Schnorchelequipment zur Verfügung gestellt, welches jedoch sehr verschimmelt war.

We had an amazing stay in Dhangethi and at Dhangethi Inn. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely the island is. Pretty sandy streets, nice shops, great restaurants - there seems to be a lot of business from visiting yachts. The owner of Dhangethi Inn was extremely friendly and helpful and the excursions were amazing. The beaches were clean and beautiful. We could have stayed much longer!

Everything was great. Breakfast when we were there was an eggs-only omelet, toast, and chicken sausage, cooked at the guest house. For a longer stay, I would discuss adding more variety or having breakfast at restaurants (bearing in mind that supplies in the local mini-markets and breakfast menus at restaurants are also limited). We did not ask for any changes to the breakfast - we felt like we were getting more than enough value for money in other ways.

O anfitrião é extremamente gente boa, faz de tudo para que o hóspede tenha não só a melhor experiência na acomodação como na viagem toda. A pousada é extremamente limpa e bem localizada. O anfitrião disponibiliza água potável durante toda a estadia e permite que vc utilize a cozinha para preparar suas refeições.

Todo! Ahmed y el personal del lugar son maravillosos. Hicimos una excursión con Ahmed y aún que no pudimos ver al tiburón ballena, se esforzó durante más horas de las indicadas y acabamos haciendo snorkel con mantas, además Ahmed te hace unos videos espectaculares. La habitación tiene todo lo necesario y además tenemos acceso a todo el sitio (incluso una sala con material para hacer snorkel). Todo muy limpio y ordenado, y el lugar está cerca de la playa (7min caminando y al lado literalmente de los restaurantes, recomendamos el Compass). Todo genial!! Si buscas entorno local y huyes del turismo esta es tu isla. Es pequeña y en la bikini beach tienes hasta hamacas y sombrillas si llegas a buena hora. Algo que se agradece muchísimo.

Our host and his staff were fantastic and he took us on incredible trips on his boat! Breakfast was great and location was very close to the beach.

Just be aware as an inhabited island you should make sure you wear appropriate clothing

La atención de Ahmed fue maravillosa. Nos organizó toda nuestra estancia, traslados desde el aeropuerto, excursiones, traslado a un resort. Hicimos la excursión del tiburón ballena y pudimos verla. Un sueño de isla Dhangetti.

Our stay at this guesthouse on Dhangethi was absolutely magical! 🌺 The island itself is a true paradise: warm turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, cozy little streets, and a welcoming atmosphere everywhere. It feels like home, but surrounded by tropical beauty and peace. And all of this became even more special thanks to the host, Ahmed. He is an incredibly kind, cheerful, and genuine person with hospitality in his heart. He welcomed us right at the harbor, arranged our transfer, gifted us souvenirs and T-shirts, offered us a welcome drink, and from the very first minutes made us feel cared for and truly special. With Ahmed, every day feels like a celebration! The excursions he organized were unforgettable. We went on an ocean adventure searching for whale sharks, manta rays, and turtles. When we finally spotted them, it was breathtaking — swimming next to a giant whale shark, watching graceful manta rays, and meeting sea turtles up close. These are moments we will remember for the rest of our lives! Breakfasts at the guesthouse were simple but very tasty — just what you need before starting a day full of adventures. The ocean is only 200 meters away, and restaurants are about 300 meters, so everything is close and convenient. Ahmed and his warm hospitality will forever remain one of the brightest memories of our trip. Thank you for making our stay so unique and unforgettable! 💙

Great location. Great owner- he really wanted us to have the best vacation. The owner is also the captain and underwater photographer. The best time on the water. Walls of fish.
