Borthwnog Hall

Das tolle Frühstück (kein klassisches englisches Frühstück), der herzliche Empfang. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, sehr naturverbunden. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge im Morgen von Wales. Die Gastgeberin ist hervorragend und ausgesprochen zuvorkommend. Alles in allem, jeder Zeit wieder und echt zu empfehlen.

A beautiful property in a scenic setting

The truly elegant luxury personified within this beautiful home. Outshone only by the kindness of our host and the fresh porridge at breakfast.

Very peaceful location, lovely scenery, staff especially Naz the manager was always on hand when needed & approachable ,always smiling. The bed was comfy ,but pillows far too soft for us ,the film channel on bedroom TV was a nice addition. The breakfast which was a available was cooked especially the porridge but limited choice . The grounds was nice to walk around & the view of the estuary was just lovely. The cottage had a good fridge freezer with a great ice maker & cool water dispenser which was a nice surprise.

The cottage upon arrival is having some work done outside which Naz did explain to us but didn't look tidy .The cottage was a little cold and their was some issues with the Arga oven which just didn't get warm enough to cook inside . The bathroom is small & yes very nicely done but there was no heating working in there, which we did tell the manager Naz who was aware of the problem . We had no hot water to wash in the morning & had to have a cold wash 😩 but Naz did sort this problem out later that day . There are 2 gorgeous German shepard dogs but they can bark at night ,this didn't bother us too much. We did speak to Naz regarding these issues & she was very apologetic and did find solutions for them & she always had a smile . We did enjoy our stay ,but the cottage I feel needs further work & some added touches to make it more comfortable .

Warm welcome. View from room was stunning. Bed comfy with great bedding. Room spacious. Bose player in room. Nice breakfast.
