Room was extremely small, and very cold on arrival. Electric heater took ages to heat the room. Towels on second day weren’t replenished.

"A lovely,. quiet stay!"

Booking & check-in was straightforward & easy. The owners met us upon arrival to welcome us. Refreshments were plentiful. The room was part of an 1850s stable block which was nicely decorated & furnished. A lovely, peaceful place to stay.

We only stayed overnight, but will book for longer stays in the future!

"Comfy beds, peace and quiet!"

The property was conveniently located near the A60, yet it was very peaceful ideal for visiting the nearby woodland. Cosy, comfy beds and creature comforts such as kettle, tea/coffee, hairdryer and smart TV were provided. The room was warm upon arrival and the water ran hot, on demand. I liked the courtyard access from the back of the room, I can imagine it is ideal for relaxing in the summer. The owner offered helpful suggestions for food within walking distance or a couple minutes by car. He also recommended some local landmarks to visit if I had the time, in addition to Newstead Abbey which was very close. I stayed for work but would stay here again if I had to attend any events nearby or visit with family, since the property is so quiet and peaceful.

"I would not be returning."

It was a nice location.

When we arrived the room was freezing. And could not get warm at all even with putting the heater on. The bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned and the toilet looked used as we arrived. The tv Netflix and all that was provided on there didn’t work as the internet was not strong enough. Normal TV worked but that was it. There were a few bugs in the room as well that we found.

Cute location

Very dated compared to photos. Bathroom very unloved, peeling wallpaper, black mould, and too sheer for night use.
