Wind Tales

Wind Tales is located in the steeped hillside Old Town of Ano Siros, so be prepared for a lot of steps. The upper Old Town is also a long walk with many steps to the port and main town so many like us may look for options like hiring a motorbike. A cab will cost you 9 Euro one way. Having said that, some may chose to spend most of their time in the Old Town, where there are some lovely tavernas and a couple of tourist attractions. Be aware though that most of the tavernas don't open up until 6pm. For many the hilly slopes, beautiful narrow laneways and traditional Greek buildings adds to the charm of the place. And the moment you arrive at Wind Tales you know you will be in for a great stay. The hotel is embedded in the side of a steep cliff which offers outstanding views and tiered levels. The tastefully decorated rooms, foyer and outdoor terraced area ooze charm and style. The owner Alex has gone to great lengths to decorate the hotel with ornate and classical pieces. This gives the place a unique and authentic Greek vibe. If you get the chance to chat to Alex you will realise how passionate he is about Siros and his hotel, and this is reflected in everything he has done to create a wonderful and comfortable environment, that makes you  feel like you have stepped back into another time and place. Alex proudly boasts using local ingredients and home cooking to create a delightful breakfast, especially the Greek yoghurt with muesli, tasty cheeses,  home made jams and eggs fried in fetta. Add to this the lovely staff and you are assured of a wonderful stay at Wind Tales.

The host does everything to make it as comfortable as possible for you! Also the 2 staff members were very nice! Really recommended stay in old city center of Syros! Loved it!

Alexis, the owner was a fantastic host! The staff was 1st class & the breakfast excellent!

There were a lot of steps, but this just added to the uniqueness of the property.

Wind tales is a very stylish little place to stay with great views in Ano Syros and very attentive accommodating hosts. Alexis was very helpful, gave us recommendations and helped us plan our return to Athens.

It can be very windy there.
