Hawthorn House Hotel

Very traditional place with lovely decor. Great character to the building & you know you are in a family run place, rather than a chain. It’s run by a mother & daughter & they are very caring & helpful. They are great to chat to if there is time ! There is a living room area to sit & read of chat with friends, so not limited to bedrooms Lovely breakfast The place could do with doing up, but then it wouldn’t be the same! It’s the owners, though, that make this special.

In top room at coach house WiFi was temperamental. Shower small but did me fine

Has a very contemporary feel to it. I liked old furnitures

Schöne kleine Unterkunft mit einer sehr warmherzigen und freundlichen Herbergsfamilie. Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber angenehm eingerichtet. Die Matratze und das Kissen waren hervorragend - ich habe herrlich geschlafen! Das Bad ist etwas klein und schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Aber es ist sauber und für ein oder zwei Personen absolut ausreichend.

The attention to detail at breakfast was great.

The stairs to the room were very steep and narrow.
