splendid lake view safari lodge

We stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon safari experience at Udawalawe national park with the host, who was both knowledgeable of the park and respectful of the animals which we appreciated. The room was clean and the dinner and breakfast provided were delicious. The lodge is set on a lake which offered another opportunity to spot the amazing local wildlife in the morning before we headed off.

Very nice homestay with delicous food and very kind and friendly staff. Safari Tour will be organized too, so easy stay and comfortable option. They will help you with everything you need, further transport etc.

Very nice place for doing a Safari. The host provided a great Safari just for us two and managed to show us the animals and nice places a bit of from the most other Safari groups. We enjoyed a sundowner beer on the balcony and a delicious breakfast in the garden at the lake. The hosts were really friendly. We had the a room with a balcony which we would recommend.

The House next to the river is beautiful! It's clean and you have AC in your room. The Family is so friendly and help you with everything! They organised a wonderfull Safari for me! They speaking good english and you can learn a lot about the animals and plants. They will cooking good and as much as you can eat Sri Lankan food for you, you can choose your dinner, no problem if you are vegetarien! I really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend!

The hosts were awesome. They are a married couple, the wife runs the hotel and provides lovely breakfast whereas the man does the safari. We arrived on very short notice but they still organized a safari for us the next morning. The safari is definitely recommendable. We got a full day safari with more than the usual showing of elephants but also a lot of explanations about birds, plants, crocodiles and a lot more for a reasonable price.

We did the 7 hour safari with the owner and it was very good. It was possible to take the bicycles for a ride to the city

The place was a great spot to stay for a night to do the safari, because the safaris organized here are just amazing. We had the best time with our guide who showed us all of the animals (not just elephants) even though it was raining a lot at fist. Highly recommend doing a safari with him. The accommodation is also nice by the lake, but a bit rustic. The food was great and we loved the little pavilion by the shore.

Everything was amazing Great food, amazing view, clean and comfortable bed in a nice room with balcony, how shower with soap and toilet paper, everything you need to feel home, worthless experience

Me and a friend booked the room for one night to do a safari at the Udawalawe National Park and simultaneously booked the safari over the Lake View Lodge which worked really well. The communication went smooth and our host was so nice, polite and helpful. We were greeted personally and got some tea on arrival. The room was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the very nice service, we will definitely recommend this place! Unfortunately it was raining heavily on the day of our arrival so we did not get to swim in the lake directly next to the lodge which our host mentioned on the next day! Additionally, our driver for the safari was really polite and nice!
