Brinkhouse Guesthouse , Unawatuna beach

Everything was great during our stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the host was amazing, and the place itself was truly wonderful. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help, which made our stay especially pleasant.

The family running the place are very friendly. The location is very good, just a few steps from the sand at the eastern end of the beach. It is very easy and pleasant to wander up the main beach road where all the restaurants, cafes, shops etc are. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. It has a small fridge and sink, with some bench space which was really handy. The air con is good and there is also a fan and mosquito net, though I had no issues with mosquitos inside. The bathroom layout is also a big plus as there is shelving, and the toilet does not get wet when you shower. Water pressure was good and no issues with hot water. The balcony was a treat, lovely and large and peaceful, plenty of room to do yoga/exercise. There is also many of opportunities to see local wildlife like monkeys, squirrels and monitor lizards.

For me personally I feel it was quite expensive for what it was, but I suppose that’s a matter of opinion and budget.

The owner was so kind and polite . The room was very clean with all the amenities that a guest needs. The location of the guest house is awesome next to the beach(1 minute on foot).Also next to very good restaurants and breakfast spots

Потрясающие хозяева, которые сделали наше пребывание действительно уютным и комфортным, шли навстречу во всех вопросах, помогали и подсказывали. Прекрасные номера со всем необходимым и незабываемым видом на сад, где каждый день мы видели обезьян, белок, попугаев, павлинов, варанов. Очень вкусные и сытные завтраки, после которых нам не требовался обед, только ужин. Спасибо за гостеприимство!

Our host cooked us a very nice breakfast with different things every day. The fruit was lovely and just ripe for eating. From our balcony were nice tropical trees , often with monkeys in them. The creek below had wildlife in it. The location was excellent being a very short walk to the beach. Our host arranged a taxi for us to go to Tissamaharama.

Not necessarily our hosts fault but the creek below had the usual amount of litter in it

The family’s guesthouse is well setup. Though the facility is not so-called insta modern style, it looks basic but equipped with everything we needed, especially the hot shower and very nice AC unit. The host and his family were super friendly, and you can see they’ve tried so hard to make sure your stay is pleasant. Location is great to everything. There is a really nice brunch restaurant next door. There was a nice balcony that’s facing the nature. We didn’t notice the price we booked was not including the breakfast, but it seemed like a feast when we passed other guests’. We would’ve added on the breakfast if we knew it earlier.

There were some ants would crawled in the room, but we didn’t mind it cuz it happens in most of the accommodations that’s near the nature.
