Aqua Blue

Had the most amazing stay here at Aqua Blue! The rooms were perfect with everything you need and the location was also great. The best thing about our stay was the host Basheer who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible :) He is the most friendly and welcoming person and helps with anything that he can! I would highly recommend staying here.

Basheer is a very Good host. He helps wherever he can and tries to make your stay as good as possible.he helps out with useful tips and does organice everything for you There is also an inhouse tuk-tuk-driving Service to the best surfspots around. The rooms are very clean and there is good air-condition. Breakfast is very good as well and if you are to lazy to go out for dinner, there is an option for ordering dinner inhouse

If Clothes Make the Man then Basheer makes this Hotel. Its everything that all the other reviews have mentioned but the helpfulness positivity and joy that Basheer brings simply makes it.

Its a little bit of a walk into the centre but the upshot is its quiet with no bar noise

Basheer is super vriendelijk en helpt je graag, de kamers hebben goede bedden, donkere gordijnen en een grote badkamer met douche die snel warm wordt. Ontbijt is erg lekker met verschillende opties. Het strand is op 2 minuten loop afstand.

Basheer is a top notch host. No matter what you need, he will get it done at any time with a smile. He quickly organised some activities to ensure that my stay in Arugam Bay was the most complete experience, and also arranged the transportation to wherever I wanted to go. Breakfast is delicious, it shows that it is prepared with much care.

The location does not bring breathtaking views from the room, but it's ok, as we are supposed to explore and enjoy the surroundings, not stay inside :)

Everything! We felt so at home here, we didn’t want to leave. The room was spotless and just as pictured. Basheer was an incredible host, could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The laundry service was also a huge help. The breakfast choice was unreal, the shakshuka and Sri Lankan breakfast were so so good. I will miss that very much! My only comment would be it would be great to have a television in the restaurant for the World Cup!

Basheer is a very kind and helpful host. The location is very quiet but close to main road and the beach. Breakfast is delicious.

Super peaceful location steps from the beach. Rooms are super nice and well equipped (ac, fridge, balcony, great toilet). Nice included simple breakfast. nice. Basheer, the manager, is the loveliest and will take good care of you. We will come again. 🫶🏻

We had a great stay at Aqua Blue ! It's very close to the beach and all the restaurants. The room is comfortable and the breakfasts are so delicious and very big. The owner Bhasheer went above and beyond for us and really made the stay great.

The owner is so nice and helpful! We got into a little accident with the bike we rented from him and he helped us recover easily and offered to pay for charges. Anything else we needed he provided with a smile!

The only minus is the construction in the building right near the hotel. The owner said it’s illegal and that they’re supposed to stop by the end of the month. Aside from that, it’s not so close to the center of town, and we found some cheaper hotels closer to the center, so have that in mind.
